Students must first be enrolled in a PhD graduate program affiliated with the dual title. Application for enrollment in the dual-title degree program is completed after students and their advisers concur that they should join the program. Students must apply and be accepted into the program before the end of the student’s fourth semester.

Students should consult with their major adviser before applying to the Microbiome Sciences Dual-Title Degree.

Submit the application form to the Microbiome Sciences Graduate Program Administrator. The application includes prompts for statements that describe your academic background, research and career interests, and how your dissertation research can help advance the field of Microbiome Sciences.

You and your adviser should sign the application. The form will also need to be signed by the Head of your Graduate Program.

If your advisor is not a member of the Microbiome Sciences Dual-Title Graduate Faculty, you will need to identify a co-adviser who is a member of the program to serve on your committee. Your co-advisor need not be identified at the time you apply.
