I am a microbial ecologist, who uses in vitro, in vivo, and in situ experiments paired with genomics to study how microbial communities bolster host health and resilience to stress and disease. As a postdoctoral scholar in Carolee Bull's and Kevin Hockett's labs at Penn State, I leverage RB-TnSeq (random barcode transposon-site sequencing) and viromics to investigate bacterial blotch, a disease hindering white button mushroom (Agaricus bisporus) cultivation. I have experience working with diverse hosts and methodologies.
