Potnis Visits PPEM

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Dr. Neha Potnis, assistant professor of entomology & plant pathology at Auburn University, presented to the Department of Plant Pathology on August 27 as part of the fall 2018 seminar series. Potnis arrived at University Park on Friday where she met with Department Head Dr. Carolee Bull to discuss research opportunities. In addition to meeting with the department head, she met with students and faculty, and provided graduate school advice to the Blooms and Shrooms club. Dr. Potnis met with Sara Klee who is a current graduate student formerly mentored by then Ph.D. student Potnis. Potnis’ presentation provided insight into the development of successful disease management strategies in relation to the understanding of the factors underlying pathogen emergence, adaptation and spread.
