Drs. Terrence Bell and Kevin Hockett were awarded funding from the Strategic Networks and Initiatives Program on November 17.

On November 17, 2017, the College of Agricultural Sciences awarded funding from the Strategic Networks and Initiatives Program (SNIP)-Interdisciplinary Graduate Assistantships to Drs. Terrence Bell and Kevin Hockett and their colleagues Drs. Jasna Kovac and Darrell Cockburn from the Department of Food Science for their proposal titled "Graduate training in the exploration and manipulation of agricultural microbiomes for food productivity, quality, safety, and human health (mBiome)."

This project will bring at least two graduate assistantships to the Department of Plant Pathology and Environmental Microbiology (PPEM) in the Bell and Hockett laboratories.
