Awards Send Margaria to XVII IS-MPMI Congress

Margaria's awards provide opportunity to present research results at the XVII Int'l Society for Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions Congress.

Dr. Paolo Margaria, postdoctoral scholar in the Rosa Lab, has received the Dr. Ko Shimamoto Travel Award ($750) to attend the XVII International Society for Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions (IS-MPMI) Congress in Portland, Oregon, from July 17-21, 2016. He will also be supported by a travel award from the Office of PostDoctoral Affairs ($200) and the Postdoc Travel Grant ( $500) from the Department of Plant Pathology and Environmental Microbiology.

Dr. Margaria plans to present his research results on plant viruses characterization, specifically ourmiaviruses and tospoviruses.
