Collaborators and Former Lab Members
The Bull Penn Lab started in January 2016 after Carolee moved to Penn State. The lab was initiated by Dr. Laura Ramos Sepulveda with the help of Dr. Irda Safni and the focus of the lab turned to crops that are important to Pennsylvania's agricultural economy.
Greg Broussard is a Lecturer in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. His expertise in bacteriophage biology is already making a difference in our research. We are working together to design research topics for the summer Course-based Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) that he teaches that stem from real world problems in plant pathology. We have already benefited from his presence at our lab meetings.
Steve Koike is a long-time collaborator and friend. We continue to collaborate on taxonomic issues that have significant impacts on agriculture and the environment in both Pennsylvania and California. We wrote a summary of the impact of our work in a recent manuscript for the Annual Review of Phytopathology.
Former Bull Penn Lab Members
Dr. Irda Safni joined the lab in December 2015 as a Fulbright Scholar.
