PPEM welcomes Ph.D. student Andrea Wilson, visiting for two months from the University of Pretoria.

On April 27 the Department of Plant Pathology and Environmental Microbiology (PPEM) welcomed Andrea (Andi) Wilson, Ph.D. student of Dr. Brenda D. Wingfield, a sabbatical visitor from the University of Pretoria (UP) Forestry and Agricultural Biotechnology Institute (FABI).

Andi is a third-year Ph.D. student in Genetics at UP. She uses genomics approaches to determine the genetic basis of mating compatibility in the fungus Huntiella. Wilson plans to work on Fusarium projects in the Geiser lab until June 30.
