Plant Science Ph.D. student Julianna Razryadov gave PPA students a campus green roofs tour on July 19.

On July 19 Plant Science Ph.D. student Julianna Razryadov gave students from the Plant Pathology Association (PPA) a tour of campus green roofs. Razryadov's dissertation work focuses on green roofs, and she generously shared her expertise and led a fantastic tour. Julie took the group to see the Millennium Science Complex and Forest Resources Building green roofs. She explained the basics of green roofs, including intersections with economics, architecture, city planning, human health, and environmental impacts. Razryadov also told about her time studying green roofs in Switzerland, drawing comparisons between her experience with green roofs there and here in the United States.
