Dr. John M. McDowell, Professor at Virginia Tech, visited PPEM October 29-31 as a student-invited colloquium speaker.

Dr. John M. McDowell, Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology, Physiology, and Weed Science at Virginia Tech, visited the Department of Plant Pathology and Environmental Microbiology (PPEM) October 29-31, 2017.

Dr. McDowell was a student-invited PPATH 590 Colloquium speaker. His seminar was titled "Exploiting oomycete genomes for fundamental insight and new approaches to disease control." PPEM faculty and students met with Dr. McDowell during his stay for further discussion during meals and appointments.
