Dr. James Bradeen, Professor and Department Head at the University of MN, visited PPEM September 24-26.

Dr. James M. Bradeen, Professor and Department Head of the Department of Plant Pathology and Co-Director of the Stakman-Borlaug Center at the University of Minnesota, visited the Department of Plant Pathology and Environmental Microbiology (PPEM) September 24-26, 2017.

Dr. Bradeen is a College of Agricultural Sciences Multicultural Diversity Fellow. He delivered the PPATH 590 Colloquium titled "Borrowing from neighbors: leveraging comparative genomics for improved plant disease resistance" on September 25.

In addition to meeting with faculty and students during his stay, Dr. Bradeen enjoyed a tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater in Mill Run, PA, with Dr. Carolee Bull.
