Potato Industry Reps Meet with PPEM Potato Researchers
Posted: March 29, 2016
Members of the Penn State Potato Research Program in the Department of Plant Pathology and Environmental Microbiology (PPEM) hosted eleven members of the Pennsylvania Potato Industry from potato growing regions across the state on March 29. Visitors included large- and small-scale producers, potato chip industry experts, seed growers, and representatives from the Pennsylvania Co-operative Potato Growers. Attendees exchanged accounts of disease and problems seen on farm and field, and Penn State researchers shared their latest findings and research plans. Together the group identified gaps in knowledge and devised strategies to minimize the gaps. A summary of the findings will be published.
