Laura Ramos-Sepulveda receives Graduate Student Competitive Grant

Laura Ramos-Sepulveda, Ph.D. Candidate in Plant Pathology, has received a 2013-14 College of Agricultural Sciences Graduate Student Competitive Grant! Laura's proposal, titled "Novel Virulence Genes in Erwinia amylovoa, the Fire Blight Pathogen," was selected as one of ten proposals throughout the College to receive this award. Laura is advised by Dr. Tim McNellis.

Each awardee will receive a $2,000 award from the College of Agricultural Sciences Graduate Student Competitive Grant, made possible by the Alex and Jessie C. Black Research Fund Endowment, which supports post-comprehensive doctoral candidates (advised by College of Agricultural Sciences Faculty) with their thesis research projects.
