Penn State’s diversified Extension education program utilizing demonstrations, seminars, farm tours, and an annual mushroom industry conference that has averaged over 100 participants from 10-15 states and several foreign countries each year since 1956. Special theme-oriented conferences have been instrumental in transferring research technology to commercial adoption.
