Abstract

My laboratory works on elucidating the molecular basis of plant immunity from both the host and pathogen side. Based on our knowledge of the plant immune system, we are developing a multi-layered approach to create durable and sustainable disease resistance in several crop species. I will present our strategies on how we employ genome editing to create disease-resistant plants.
